Topband: 2-Wire Beverage Termination

OK, for a single-wire Beverage I realize that sloping
the ends down over the last 60+ feet of the Beverage
is no improvement over dropping them straight down.

For a 2-wire Beverage, which is preferred?

  1) Putting the reflection transformer up in
     the air and running the ground wire straight
     down to the ground rod(s) (~ 6.5 feed); or

  2) Running the two wires at the end of the Beverage
      straight down (~6.5 feet) to the reflection 
      transformer, with the ground rods nearby.
