Steve, what I did was to check that the wireless router I proposed to buy
had a European compliance.  I also told the vendor about my radio activities
and made him promise that if I had problems he would take the unit back.  I
didn't have any, but you've seen the position of my antenna relative to the
house - abt 70 m away.

In Oceania we do have to be careful, as there is no requirement for immunity
compliance on imported goods, so take the precautions I mention above.
