The December morning I worked XU7ACB -- three years ago? -- he was the only DX on the band.

The same the morning I worked JT1CO two years ago.

And this past Dec. 23 when I heard HL3IUA answer W4DR's CQ, there were no JAs at all coming through.

And there have been many other "spotlight" openings on a seemingly dead band.

You just have to be there :-)
