Hi all

Many thanks to everyone who tried to work ZL6QH on Friday morning. There
appeared to be a reasonable opening to Europe but unfortunately I had strong
local QRN (peaking S9 at times) from a poor joint in the steel mast supporting
our 160m antennas, which meant that I could not copy many of the
weaker signals.
However I did manage to work 11 European stations including some
stations as far
west as DL. Some signals were quite strong, peaking up to S7. I worked the last
station OK1AEZ at 1746z but I could still hear other weaker stations until
1755z, approximately 25 minutes after our sunrise.

I noted that some of the stronger stations were not hearing me very well but
continued to call over the top of weaker stations who were obviously copying
much better. In future it would be helpful if stations only called
when they can
copy the DX :-)
