I agree with Richard.  I think that if the DX station has logged your call 
sign at the same relative time as you claim a qso with him, then enough 
information has been exchanged to constitute a valid qso.  He copied your 
call and you heard him come back to you.  If he did not copy your call sign 
correctly NW6"I" or NW6"H" instead of NW6"S" then you did not have a valid 
qso and get no credit.  So I believe the real problem is cross checking all 
the logs to verify that your call sign actually is in his log and not that 
you copied every dit and dah exactly.  Just one "little pistol's" opinion.
