Happy to say in my present (new) location I can again hear sun rise or
sunset
noise difference. Now if I can get an antenna fro xmting up. I have
both the
Ft-1000D and a TT Omni 6 plus here at present, 99 percent of the time I go
back to the FT-1000, I have tried the 1000MP and Mark 5 and was not
satisfied with them, the 1000D always came back on, the TT is ok but again
its not a 1000D, has many shortcomings. Was going to try the Orion II
but with so many people groaning about software issues going to pass on that
and as Price mentions try the K3 after the bugs settle on it.
Dont see the specs on the new 2000 doing anything better than the 1000D with
some simple mods and a roofing filter. and the 1000D sells for less than
1500
bux all day long.
