Even at that height, this discussion has not taken into account the
polarisation coupling effects that have to be considered at MF.  In some
parts of the world you won't get good coupling into the ionosphere with
horizontal polarisation at any height.  Bob, NM7M, if you are watching
this thread, you may like to comment on that aspect in CX land.
