Topband: static snow/rain

This morning conditions were amazingly good, but it was snowing and I got
bad QRN/snow statics. Years ago I remember that somebody had cured the
problem by means of some sort of choke between the antenna and ground.
(I´m using verticals).Would be most interesting if somebody has any ideas
about this problem!
