David:

I was hoping someone would be able to post a link. I believe you
are referring to an article in RadCom? I don't know of any on-line
availability of that article, although I'd like to see it myself.

Anyway, I have been playing with using the Softrock receivers to
build a "steerable" directional receiving system. So, in lieu of
an article, maybe I can answer some questions. For a very high
level overview (nothing technical), visit my web site: k1lt.com.
One of these days, I intend to finish my own technical article for
one of the US ham magazines.

I have an 8 element broadside/end-fire array that works very well,
which I have been using for almost a year now instead of my Beverage
farm (with a few notable exceptions). The 8 elements require 4
relays and 4 SDR receivers.

I've been working on an 8 element circle using 8 SDR receivers,
but that project is proceeding very slowly and is not yet ready to
call a success.

Victor, K1LT
