Thanks to everyone one for the moral support, it is greatly appreciated and has really given me encouragement to "go forth and
conquer"

Latest report as there are many on the list who are now sending me emails that they want to start up a beverage.

I heard loud and clear (what a blast) many EU stations working stations in the USA.
SM5, DJ0, HA3, 403A (finally) and many others. I tried working a few of them with not results of them hearing me, so the transmit
antenna will be next. I want to optimize the rx antenna first. Dont want to be an alligator.

I also want to add that someone sent me an email who said that you really want this antenna 6 to 8 feet above ground and not to
attach it so closely to the metal pole that it could either couple vertical signals to the antenna or could capacitively couple some
signals to ground.

I am going to make this change as soon as possible, and will report back once it is accomplished, just need to figure out a way to
"get her done".
