Topband: Aluminum Radials

I have tried aluminum several time and they turn into a brittle mess and 
break up after about a year here in NW Georgia.  I have used several gauges, 
12 to 16.   I think how they hold up depends on the makeup of the soil in 
your area.  Due to the time required to put them down I now use only copper 
hookup wire which last.  GL and if you use the aluminum let me know how it 
holds up.
