Cards for VP8/LZ1UQ South Shetlands for 160m of a few years ago, sent  
direct to LZ via regular airmail, also never arrived. Several of us on  
the reflector pooled our resources and sent a small bundle via  
registered mail. That worked.

For certain areas of the world, I go to the Post Office to get  
innocuous looking metered postage to avoid having a stamp that  
attracts any attention.
