Im still in favor of Slinkys for a short antenna. Rust prevention is an 
issue or use the brass version for more money.

Now that I have the 4 long 2 wire versions up and running well the next step 
will be trying phased end fire Slinkys....in the spring.

There is too little written about the usability of short beverages. During 
this recent discussion, no one has mentioned the use of the inductance 
loaded beverage as described in ON4UN's book and also written about by W8JI.

Although they become single band RX antennas, the use of loading inductance 
placed appropriately in the antenna run can produced a useful beverage 
antenna pattern with a relatively short wire.
