Well I finally figured it out and sat waiting for 4A4A to come on at his sunset
(0130-0200Z). Waiting with baited breath with the split set 1.1 up and antennas
tuned. So they come on and so does the Jammer! A S9 buzz saw right on his
freq. Must have been an East coast station as the only way I heard my call was
using the 270 deg. Beverage. Sheesh! Same thing happened on 1850 around 0400Z
so didn't make on SSB. Too many frustrated A-types out there....

But hey, the band was in great shape with EU coming in early and strong and
OD5NJ putting in a big signal an hour before his sunrise. Too bad I couldn't
bust the pile up. I hear he has strong local QRN that 100W won't pass. Put
Guam in the log also to reach 100 on 160 with 100w (76 since last August as
VE3CV). Now I can get some sleep again.
The snow is melting so the Beverages will be put away soon.
Cheers
Jeff VE3CV (VE3FRX)
