Boy does that sound familiar... First make sure you have a really really good ground.. Kenwood radios (IMHO) seem to need a better ground than many other radios or they suffer RF problems.

I also would make sure the open wire feed line comes away from the antenna at a 90 deg angle.. IF you suspect your ground is not adequate .. try laying some radials (temporarily) in your shack and make them as long as you can.. I use aluminum foil it works great but the wife hates me big time when I steal her foil.

Finally if all else fails... get a remote balun from radio works and connect it to the feed line about 10-15 ft from the house/shack and bring coax in to the shack.. you might also add an UNUN at the back of the amp between the amp and the tuner.

All this talk about beverages makes me thirsty. ?Thats, for 160M DX.

I use to rag chew on CW,use to run CW nets back in the day. If the guy is calling CQ DX I sit and listen to see what is drummed up. He is paying for the electric bill not me. Besides chances are he has a better antenna that I do on 160M.

I am going to ramble just a bit, new to the forum.

I live on a small city lot. always had RFI issue of one sort or another. The less time I transmit the better off I am when running 500 watts. ?Maybe I should start QRP but I am at 25 confirmed on 160M and gunning for 100 for 9B DXCC.

I have been working DX for so long now that I for got how to rage-chew.?

Stay on course, fight a good fight, and keep the faith.?Jim K9TF/WA9YSD

My brother W2NFK just purchased a G5RV MAX 160-10 meter antenna and when he
transmitts the RF is getting back into the shack making for RF burns on
the  mic. The transceiver is a K'wood TS 440-SAT with the built in tuner.
Anyone have  any ideas for a RF choke to stop it. Reply off line so not to start
a long  line on here.TNX
