8Q7BM is now QRT. The last night of activity provided a little more than 40 log entries.

Right after dinner two JA stations where logged using a split RX on 1812. After this the band went quiet. The band opened later than usual into EU. At 2130 some EU stations started to appear and 2218 NA opened with weak signals.

Getting an opening to NA was sweet, but it was also hard with only 100 watts. Several stations failed to log me, I could read them OK but they where not able to hear my response. With quite a few I spent several minutes trying to respond to their calls.

EU disappeared 2240, then a little later NA faded out. The total opening to NA lasted from 2218z to about 2300z.

Nothing was logged in my SR. Only fragments of a call where heard, maybe Tom W8JI?

Right after SR the 160 vertical was taken down and the station packed in its Peli. At 1400 local/0800z we depart on a small sea plane for Male where we will check in to our international flights back to Stockholm.

A total of 160 unique calls and a few dupes where logged on 160. During the two weeks I was also active a little on 15, 12 and 10. But most of all where where enjoying the sun and the sea in daylight hours.

Thanks to everyone in my log and to those who struggled but didn’t succeed. I am sure 8Q will be on air soon again.

73!
