Thanks Dean

The one I'm looking at is the old heathkit with the various coil plug ins. The kit comes with a coil that goes down to 1.600. 

Is there another one you can recommend that may go down further?  ON4UN says my tower should be close to 115 degrees others say closer to 140 degrees
