Topband: WD1-A as radials

The new liquid tape works very well to keep moisture out of the ends.  It is sold under the name of "liquid tape", and also "Brush on" liquid tape.. It surrounds each wire strand  when applied generously.

And yes, it is very strong. I've used the twisted pair (doubled up) as guys for masts and small aluminum towers with light loads with no problems.

It lays very flat on the ground, the critters don't like it, and it is immensely strong. I always use crimp terminals but YMMV. I don't think it matters either way whether you use one or both wires - for Beverages I always use both wires but connected separately. That way I can use a simple ohmeter test to confirm that the whole length is continuous.
