Hi Joe et al,
That's my point!!  You can have a conversation on CW, SSB, and even RTTY!! That is a big part of Ham Radio for lots of us!
FT8, etc, takes the personal satisfaction part of HAM radio away!
It's just like a Computer game!!
I for one, will never try FT whatever...
