Thanks for all the responses to my question.  I am now enlightened and am
off to design one of these critters for my very own....even have a rotor for
it which leads me to my next question:

Has anyone made a replacement control box for the old "turn the knob and
listen to the stepper relay clunk" control box?  My spare rotor is a CDE
Ham-M that came with one.  Is it internally like a Ham IV?  I've got a good
idea how I'll go about this project but am looking for any potholes I might
stumble into.
