Rotor parts...

If there is just a simple open in that winding, carefully sand away enough
enamel on the side of the "ring" to allow you to solder a jumper at that
point...you will see a little hump in the indicator as it rotates past that
point - but so what....we found this problem in the rotor on our sidemounted
tribander right before a contest last year. I think it ws a lightning thang,
knowing a replacement "pot" would be unable to be had at Radio Shack in the
next town we attempted the straight forward repair and it is still working
fine.
