[TowerTalk] Radio Shack remote-reading wattmeter

Since my antenna site is 250 feet down a hill from the shack, I put together
a setup whereby I can send commands from a battery-driven portable packet
station (HT, Baycom TNC, HP 100LX palmtop) to my shack computer. The
computer then issues commands to the rig (TS950SDX) or the amp (Alpha 87A).
I can turn the carrier on and off, select any frequency, low or high power,
send CW from the built-in memory keyer, etc. I haven't done it yet, but I
could set it up to have the amp report the forward and reflected power it
sees.

It's a nice troubleshooting tool, but requires care to use (like staying
away from the antennas while TX is on and making sure to select frequencies
and power levels appropriate to the antenna under test.)
