Here is an alternative to finding the right guy/gal to ask at the local 
airport about the magnetic variation from magnetic north. Try the following 
url. There are a few options for locating the information about the airport 
nearest you. If you search by "place name" only use the city. A choice of 
cities in all states will follow...cool eh?
