[TowerTalk] Cushcraft 40 meter Beam ???

Check your coax.

Add another CC 2L40 at 80 ft zimed at Europe  and get an 
upper / lower / both switchbox.  Don't be surprised if most of
the time (late afternoon through early evening) if the LOWER
antenna isn't BEST.  160 ft is GREAT for the morning LP and
SKEW path (210 degrees) to SE Asia.  The rest of the time,
80 to 100 usually works better.
