Once many years ago, I had a neighbor who moved in next door who was
from an other country.
He bought a new TV from one of the major chains, and when he had
troubles with it, he called for service.  
Apparently, he wasn't getting any picture on channels 3, 6, 8 and a
couple others as well.  
Well, living in Northern VA, you don't get anything on those channels! 
The TV service man couldn't get him to understand this, so he told him
that the big antennas next door were sucking the signals out of the
air.  Not wanting to be a bad neighbor, he dropped it and figured he
would have to live with it.  I found out about it a few months later.  
I got a written letter of apology from Sears.

In another location, I had a neighbor ask if the 'radiation' from my
antenna could have caused her cat to give birth to still born kittens!

Ignorance is amazing sometimes.
