Mike, I just noticed their ad in QST. The gain quote is based upon having
the antenna up one wavelength, over ground and it is dBi not dBd. If you
work with one of the popular antenna modeling programs you will get a first
hand experience for these relative gain figures. They are a little
confusing. 73, John
