Ladies and Gentlemen....

I disconnect antennas (including the two and six meter stuff), disconnect
rotors, and pull plugs and power mains as a ritual to leaving the shack.
The only thing I leave on during the winter is the electric heat at 40
degrees when I am gone.

I do this year round.  I've heard thunder in a snow storm.  Scary!
