This subject has been addressed before.

Many  automotive supply houses plus K-mart, Walmart, etc.
have 4 and 6 terminal weatherproof  trailer connectors.  A pair 
of the 4 terminal connectors easily handles the 8 terminal
HAM-series rotors.  To avoid confusion, connect one female
connector and one male to the rotor.   Then there is only one
connection possibility for the cable end.
