[TowerTalk] toroids

Hi All
I recently came into some 88 mh toroids that were in some old
telephones. The inner diamater is a little bigger than RG-8 coax. Does
anyone know the permability (sp?) of these cores, and will they work for
coax chokes?  Thanks and 73
