Hi Bob:

Why not just put another rotator plate down 5 feet from the
present one and put in another bearing. I did this to my tower
and it removes all of the side stress from the rotator.

A friend of mine, who is good at fabbing Aluminum, came over and
whipped up a shelf for me in about a week. 10 feet in, 10 feet 
out, easy to move the mast up and down to install the antenna 
at the top.
