[TowerTalk] Stacking question

About 1965, long before we had computer modelling, I got to
thinking about tilting the boom of a Yagi to lower or raise the
elevation angle of radiation.  This would be really neat for
switching from the SS to the DX Contest mode.  I did a literature
search and found the answer in an IRE proceeding from maybe 1935
or so.  Someone, possibly Doctor Brown of RCA, had done a bunch
of testing on this already.  The bottom line was, tilting the
boom either up or down raised the radiation angle.
