George,

I had a similar experience this summer. I poured a 4.5' x 4.5' x 5' deep
tower base into a hole that had "running water". Left alone, the water was
3.0' deep. I used a 110v sump pump to pump out as much of the water as
possible just prior to pouring. I still had about 6" of water in the hole
when we poured. The concrete was mixed stiff and the driver overflowed the
hole until he was sure that any water was displaced. After a one month cure,
we erected a 72' self supporting aluminum tower, no problem. Pictures of the
