Clive;

Womens vinyl coated "bobby pins" work very well "pinning radials" to the
earth. When purchasing 15-30 packages for a 160 meter project years ago,
I assure you any male buying this amount at a drug store will receieve
strange looks from the cashier/clerk at checkout, HI. They are naturally
flared, so as to not scratch the scalp. Simply place a handfull in one
hand, standard pliers in the other, and work from the vertical end
towards the far end. Pin the radial every 3-5 feet, depending on amount
of foot traffic and terrain. In the southeast United States, grass thatch
begins covering radials in about 3 months.

Good luck on your purchase. :-)
