Harbor Freight has a laser pointer for $5.99 that they
say will project a 1/4 inch dot at 600 feet.
So you make a little jig to set this thing pointing
vertically at the base of the tower in the exact
center. You install an accessory shelf, or some kind
of homemade plate, at each guy
level with a little 1/4 inch hole in the exact middle
of each shelf. Paint a little target on the bottom
dead center of the rotor mounting plate.
When the tower is vertical, the laser will be shining
through all the holes in the accessory shelves, and
will be hitting the target on the rotor plate. If a
particular guy level is out of whack, you will see the
laser shining on the accessory shelf, rather than going
through the hole.
I haven't tried this, but I like the sound of it.
