[TowerTalk] Q: Antenna Relay Bypass Caps

I'm constructing a remote antenna relay system and will be putting bypass
capacitors and protection diodes across each of the relay coils.  

Question:   Is it important that the caps and diodes be soldered directly to
the relay coils or can they be mounted on a small circuit board and
connected to the relays via wires?
