Back in the UK when I had one Rick, it worked just fine ground mounted
30 feet away form a 3 element Cushcraft at 37 feet high and running a
linear.
Incidentally it was next to a garden shed and surrounded by high
trees, houses on all sides were only 70 feet away, that did,nt stop it
working 3Y on 40, VP8SSI on 80 and 40 all SSB as well as VK0H on 80,
40 and 30 on SSB and CW. Just a brilliant antenna for the low bands
when you have'nt room for anything else.
If it was me I would replace the coax.
