The Orion mast clamps are VERY robust and I think there is an even
heavier duty set available if I recall my conversation with Mike Stahl.
M2 will attach the Orion clamps to a prop-pitch if you send it to them.

And as for a prop-pitch controller, a very nice solution is the M2 RC2800P-A
controller.  It incorporates the prop-pitch power supply, digital display, 
10 preset
memories, RS-232 control, and needs only 5 wires to the prop-pitch - 3 for the
p-p motor and a pair (or better yet RG-58 coax) for the magnetic pulse 
switch that
is attached to the bottom of the prop-pitch motor.
