Hey Bill - many solutions - none very hard! We use 1/4 in teflon rod,
fiberglass rod - tongue depressors cooked in paraffin - PVC tubing or
pipe, wooden dowel(also paraffined) - even no insulators, just two wires
under tension for 20-50 ft.
Of great interest, for a good fast, easy, and cheap solution, however, is
the "window" stuff in polyethylene - now readily available in four types
from 10 to 25 cents a foot. VP is within 1-3 percentage points of the
best homebrew "labor of love" material you can make.
