[TowerTalk] hazer cable broken/repair

After watching all the discussion on broken crankup cables, I had my hazer
cable break. I need to make a temporary repair to lift the hazer ( mast/40m
dipole and c3e) up enough to lower it down. I thought the compression
type/crimp sleeves ( not sure the proper name) would allow me to splice the
2 ends toghether and hold enough to get everything down. Any ideas?
