      Actually I've never seen a terminal strip "fail". Get real grungy and 
eventually need replacing - yes, but fail - no. The majority failure modes 
for Hy-Gains are brake wedges and ring gears.

     Of course. When I was at Hy-Gain I tried to encourage the RotorDoc to 
make one available. I don't know if there is one or if you have to do it 
yourself. You just have to get inside to unsolder/resolder the wires. If it 
was mine, I'd attach the pigtail to the terminal strip and then coat the 
terminal strip with Liquid Electrical Tape. Very little work and you still 
get control cable plugability.

      Hard to say how MFJ handles this one. Use the 'pigtail on terminal 
strip' scenario and you avoid this sticky situation.
