<<      Most masts can be clamped above the thrust bearing with an 
appropriate U-bolt. The weight then rests on the U-bolt.
 
       Another option is to grab the mast inside the tower with a sling 
choker and comealong/cable puller. Tighten it up until you've got the weight 
and loosen the TB screws/bolts.
 
       Even 5/16 bolts should hold the weight if they can be properly 
tightened. It'll only take a little bit of tension to hold everything in 
place. The load you're talking about (less than 30#) is pretty small in the 
overall scheme of things.

Hi Steve and thanks!
Thought about the U bolt option too...but was going to run the 2" mast all 
the way down to the rotor shelf and use the U bolt there.  This method is 
still under consideration.
