It depends how far in front of the beam the roof extends and how high it is 
above the roof.  I'd guess that any 1:1 ratio where the roof in front of the 
beam and the beams height above the roof would be OK.  Any roof distance in 
front of the beam more than the height of it over the roof would contribute 
strongly to the high angle lobes.  Didn't someone have software that would 
model this?  K7GCO.
