I'm reviewing these options right now. Since I am converting more and more
of my
runs to hardline (including over 300' to the 80M 4-sq) one thing the
coax-back-to-the-
shack solution offers is some use for recycled coax. If it is lossy, no
big deal--
do I care whether 10 watts is reflected at the min or it's really 20 out of
HP? Also, I
periodically do measurements right at the ComTek box and can detect major
discrepencies.
OTOH, I have tried to locate 2 of the RS remote SWR indicators and have
been unable
to do so. Sold out long ago. If somebody has one or two, please let me
know and I may
go that way. Or...I might buy some RG-58 just to avoid the multiple
possibilities of connector
trouble even though much of it is buried in PVC.
