[TowerTalk] Antenna Improvement

Thought there might be some interest here in this guaranteed way to pick
up an additional 3 Db. I incorporated  this 14 years ago when I put my
tower up here on Cape Cod.

My wife and I were walking the beach right in front of the Marconi site,
where the water has eroded much of the shoreline and washed away most of
the remains of the Marconi station where the first transatlantic QSO was
made.  Marconi's antenna anchors were made of brick, and a few bricks
remain in the only remnants of the station. When I found a brick in the
surf, I knew it must be one from the site.

That brick has been embedded in my concrete tower base since I poured
it!   JACK  W1WEF  ( I'm not sure if Champion Radio Products has the
right  bricks...hi)
