I was under the impression that the American Dentist, Mahlom Loomis was the
real inventor of radio. He supposedly sent spark messages between two
distant hilltops on  about 160 meters. This was in 1866. He also made his
work known to Congress and took out patents. This was long before Marconi
was privileged to step foot on American soil. Didn't congress strip the US
patents from Marconi in the early 1940's?? Someone correct me if I got this
all wrong. This guy was probably the very first Ham.
