A nice condition FT1000D should go for as little as $2,000 to $2,400.    It 
depends on if its being sold by a retailer or individual and where the 
individual lives.    Geography does make a difference.    You might want to 
check QTH.com for prices around the US.     A friend bought one for $2200 
recently.
