[TowerTalk] Sanity Check: My Grounding Plans

I have plans to add an outdoor common ground system to combat RFI
and further reduce the risk of lightening damage inside the house.

I have a shack in the northeast corner of my basement.
I have a 50 foot tower at the northwest corner of my basement, 90 feet away.
I have an AC feed at the soutwest corner of my basement,
estimated 50 feet from the tower and 110 feet from the shack.

My plan is to have three ground locations, one outside the AC Panel,
one outside the shack operating position and one (three rods) at the tower
base.

All three ground locations would be connected with #4 soft solid copper wire.
Similar wire would be used to ground the AC panel to the ground rod.

Braid would be used to collect the equipment ground and attach them to
#4 copper that is brought inside.

The outdoor copper wire would be in 2" of mulch along the base of the
outside wall.

Comments?

If my shack wire gets longer than 8 feet, have anyone used
an MFJ "artificial ground" to get a better ground?

TIA, 73, Byron
