  The classic feed system consisted of a length of RG-8 
center conductor inside each half of the DE and it coupled
the feedline to the DE via capacity, the TA DE was basically a
dipole feed point.

  I think so, its two coils and the trap housing acts as one side
of the trap capacitance.

  Get a copy of the antenna instruction sheet and on it they give
the turn numbers on the trap coils so you can count the
turns and identify the trap.
