[TowerTalk] How to separate aluminum

I have some 6063-T832 aluminum tubing that needs to be separated.   I have 1
piece of 3/4" (.750 OD) that has a piece of 5/8" (.625 OD) telescoped
inside.  The 5/8" broke off just beyond where they slip together.  How do I
get them apart???   I used a pair of pliers but the aluminum breaks off.
This aluminum is designed to telescope together and there are multiple
pieces in the same condition.
