[TowerTalk] Yaesu GA-3000 tower absorber

Hi Jim and all -
I have not used the Yaesu, but do have a home-brew version, fabricated with 6
automobile engine mounts. The rubber engine mounts are mounted on top of the
normal rotator mounting plate, and a second plate, which holds the rotator, is
mounted on top of the engine mounts. This system has been in use for 7 years.
It is very effective in "taking the edge" off gusts, and no doubt helps soften
the starting and stopping job for both the rotator and the tower. I would not
consider another installation without one.
